Games Corner 31/05/15

While there isn't that much news to talk about in the lead up to E3, we still have a few interesting tidbits to take a gander at. Let's see what we have for you this week.

Video game announcements and announcement announcements... announcements

The road to E3 often sees small bits of info pushed the public's way in the form of press releases and teases. This week saw a few little blips of info relating to several upcoming games.

- Until Dawn, Sony's cabin in the woods Heavy Rain-style horror game was given an official release date of August 25, 2015. Potentially one of the big games to be kicking off the flood of games leading up to the holiday season.
- The Need For Speed series is getting a full reboot, aptly named "Need For Speed". By all appearances, the game seems to be following the vibe of the underground versions of the franchise. The game will require an online connection.
- The next FIFA game will include a new mode in which players will be able to play the women's league.

Twitch bans adult-only games from being streamed through it's service

In a bid to keep the service relatively clean and friendly, Twitch has decided to ban the streaming of video games that have an Adults Only ESRB rating.

The move comes mere days away from the much publicized twin stick violent shooter Hatred's release (The game is due out June 1st). Whether this has anything to do with Twitch's new policy remains to be seen, but it looks like Twitch is attempting to nip the problem in the bud before any problems arise.
