Welcome to Games Corner, where I bring you up to speed with whats happening in the games world every single week!
New Guitar Hero coming soon
For those that long for the days of rocking out on a plastic guitar on their home console, you might soon be in luck! It has been reported that Activision, makers of Guitar Hero, are holding an event on April 1st to announce "a rhythm game featuring rock music". The invitation sent to journalists asks that they come and "rock the shack with us!"
While this could be an elaborate April fools day joke from Activision, I doubt they would go to the trouble of organizing a massive event for journalists to attend if they didn't have something important to say. Surely. Fingers crossed.
Dynamic beard growth makes it's way to video game land (FINALLY)
Developer CD Projekt Red has let loose a strange but fabulous piece of info this week about their upcoming game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - the main character Geralt's beard actually grows over time.
As you progress through the game and pass through areas, you'll notice your main mans 5 o'clock shadow start to lengthen. You will be able to keep it trimmed and neat if you prefer, or let it grow out to old man magnificence - though longest length will reportedly be a bit less than "Gandalf-long".
Players that choose to have a stylized beard, however, won't see any growth - so there will be no need to worry about keeping up with the shavin' if you have a set style.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is scheduled for release in May.
Zelda for Wii U Delayed out of 2015
Deep down in our hearts we knew it would come, as it does with every Zelda game ever.
Eiji Aonuma, producer of the upcoming Zelda game for Wii U, dropped a video with the news this week that Zelda for Wii U won't make it's 2015 release window.
On the plus side, this can only mean that when the game does finally come out, it will be polished to perfection and hopefully full of more fantastic features that we wouldn't get otherwise.
A delayed game is better than an unfinished game released early.
